Lavender Sisterhood Sale

The Lavender Sisterhood, a group of lively divas from the MidCounty Senior Center, will be selling a variety of handmade lavender products including eye pillows, sachets, wands and hand-milled soap. Look for the bumblebee balloon flying high over their booth.

Guest Speaker and Cooking Demo

Author Barbara Ghazarian

As seen nationwide on the highly-acclaimed lifestyle series, Real Simple for PBS-TV, Barbara Ghazarian, author of the award-winning cookbook, Simply Armenian: Naturally Healthy Ethnic Cooking Made Easy and Simply Quince, will introduce the astonishingly modern Armenian table of her ancestors. In minutes, Ghazarian will make three traditional dishes using fresh market produce: Pickled Fresh Vegetables; Jajek, a cooling summertime yogurt, cucumber, and mint soup; and Yogurt with Quince Preserves, a yummy and nutritious Autumn breakfast or anytime snack. The audience will leave the workshop confident that they will be able to prepare healthy, at-home meals for their families and friends without investing lots of time, money, or energy.

Cookbooks will be available for sale. Book signing will follow cooking demonstration.
