Supervisor Kim DeSerpa with Catherine Barr

The Aptos Farmers Market received special recognition  from Santa Cruz County Supervisor Kim DeSerpa in celebration of 50 years of bringing the community together.

Supervisor DeSerpa surprised MBCFM Executive Director Catherine Barr with a proclamation honoring the market’s long-standing role as a beloved Saturday gathering place in Aptos — filled with fresh local produce, beautiful flowers and plants, artisan goods, delicious food, live music, and meaningful connections with neighbors and friends.

For five decades, the Aptos Farmers Market has supported local farmers, small businesses, food artisans, and the greater community. We are grateful to Supervisor DeSerpa for recognizing this milestone and to everyone who has helped make the market such a vibrant part of local life.

Here’s to 50 years of community, connection, and local agriculture — and to 50 more!
