As summer gives way to fall, two Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets will soon wrap up their seasons for the year.
The Del Monte Farmers Market at the Del Monte Shopping Center will hold its final Sunday market on September 27, and the Carmel Farmers Market at The Barnyard final Tuesday market will be September 29.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our shoppers, farmers, food artisans, and vendors who make these seasonal markets such a vibrant part of our community. We appreciate your support throughout the season and look forward to welcoming everyone back next spring!
Celebrate the Fall Harvest
Before the seasonal markets close, there is still plenty of wonderful late-summer and early-fall produce to enjoy. Market tables are beginning to fill with apples, pears, persimmons, pomegranates, Brussels sprouts, winter squash, pumpkins, eggplants, nuts, dried fruit, and many more seasonal favorites.
It’s a wonderful time to stock your pantry, plan fall meals, and enjoy the changing harvest.
Shop With Us Year-Round
Fortunately, fresh, local food doesn’t end with the summer market season. Two Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets remain open every week, year-round, rain or shine:
Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College
Saturdays, 8 AM–12 PM
Monterey Farmers Market at Del Monte Shopping Center
Fridays, 8 AM–12 PM
Throughout fall and winter, you’ll find an ever-changing selection of seasonal produce along with freshly baked breads and pastries, locally made cheeses, pasture-raised meats, fresh-caught seafood, flowers, plants, and handcrafted foods and goods.
Whether you’re planning cozy fall dinners, preparing for holiday gatherings, shopping for locally made gifts, or simply filling your kitchen with fresh ingredients, our year-round markets have you covered.
