Please join the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets in supporting one of our favorite non-profit organizations — Hopes Closet. On Saturday, October 21, volunteers from Hopes Closet will be at the Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College from 8 a.m. until noon to sell raffle tickets for a chance to win several prizes, including several of our own farmers market baskets filled with products from our vendors and a bundle of our Farmers Market Big Bucks! With the purchase of $20 worth of raffle tickets, you’ll also receive a stuffed animal toy.
Founded in 2011, Hopes Closet (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Santa Cruz County) was started to help provide families and children with new and gently used clothing, shoes, socks, underwear, books, and toys as well as baby and toddler equipment. Whether a first-time single mom, a foster family, or a family struggling with financial hardship, all families are welcome to contact Hopes Closet for assistance!
Hopes Closet Store and Donation Center
Everyone is welcome to shop (or donate!) at Hopes Closet. Instead of paying full price for something your kids will quickly outgrow, pay a fraction of the cost and help support children in need in our community while living a greener lifestyle. Hopes Closet is committed to recycling and living sustainably and offers a quick and easy way for you to recycle your family’s recently outgrown children’s clothes and items.
The store is located at 2555-2557 Soquel Drive, Santa Cruz is open Tuesday — Friday, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Hopes Closet Donation Center is open Monday — Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. To donate, simply bring in the gently used clothes, shoes, toys, and baby/toddler gear that your little ones and kids have recently outgrown, and when you do, join their Loyalty Donation Program. After four donations, you’ll receive a 25% discount in their store.
All pre-owned clothes and items are cleaned and sanitized, including all parts and pieces.
