MBCFM > Market News > Aptos Farmers Market Awarded Feeding America Grant

The Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College received a $5,000 Feeding America grant from our local Santa Cruz County Second Harvest Food Bank to help ensure everyone has access to adequate fresh and healthy food. While funds last, we will match benefits (EBT) at our information booth at the market.

What is Feeding America?
Feeding America is a program that serves all walks of life. Food insecurity has impacted many families during the coronavirus pandemic. Unemployment has soared and many Americans are one job loss or medical crisis away from being unable to buy enough food for their families. Children and seniors may be at greater risk than others.

Find out more about the Feeding America program and consider making a donation or volunteering time to help those in our community who are struggling with hunger.

Additionally, our farmers’ markets accept EBT, WIC, and Senior Coupons.
