We are very saddened to share that Frank Prevedelli passed away last month. Frank’s passion was farming organic apples and Prevedelli Farms has been a long-time vendor at our farmers market, almost from its inception. He was a very well-respected member of the agricultural community as well as a great family man and a friend to all.
To honor him, the Prevedelli family has set up a memorial scholarship in his name to help future young farmers. Frank felt that we need more educated young farmers. The scholarship will be awarded through the educational organization Agriculture and Santa Cruz Community Foundation. The scholarship will go to a high school student going to college and majoring in agriculture or a related field. All of the money received from donations goes directly to supporting the recipients of the scholarship.
